Why Maghrib?
Closing the daylight with gratitude, right at sunset.
Maghrib comes immediately after the sun sets and has the shortest window of the five. It marks the end of the working day with remembrance rather than exhaustion.
Authentic (sahih) hadith
The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Maghrib when the sun had set and its disk had disappeared.
